Cave mapping and research helps cavers and scientists alike to understand caves, their relationship to the surrounding environs, and the significance of what is found within them.
Expeditions
Members of the Southern California Grotto regularly travel to caves around the world to assist in large team projects and explore places no human has been before.
Mine Exploring
Southern California has a rich history of mining. Grotto members volunteer their time to help with mine conservation and preservation. Many of us also love exploring them.
