RSVP Response
How this works
We look at the grotto database to determine if:
• You signed the waiver
• You have a discord user ID associated
>If you signed the waiver and have a discord user, your rsvp is added to the discord event like “normal”.

>If you do not have an associated discord user then your rsvp will be a “post” in the event like this:

The brains of the integration is n8n. n8n listens for webhooks from sesh during an event’s lifecycle. Or for a user to select an RSVP, then responds accordingly.
What doesn’t work
- Waitlists: If you don’t have a discord user associated AND there is a waitlist for the trip, you won’t be notified. It won’t be clear whether you deserve to go or not. Currently Sesh does not provide a way to add your “email” to the normal list of attendees in Discord.
- Email forwarding: Don’t send these emails to friends. They will just change your RSVP.
- Role requirements: If a Discord role like
srt5is required, this is not investigated. Don’t make a selections that put you in over your head.
