At the May meeting, Frank McDonough will present on the geology of the Santa Susanas. The Chatsworth formation, a geologic entity that makes up the profoundly scenic Santa Susana mountains, will be featured as we look at the tectonics, hydrology, and the mineralogy and other factors that have produced some of the largest and most interesting local caves in Los Angeles and Ventura County.


At the June meeting, Greg Allan will describe the National Cave Rescue Commission (NCRC) Level 1 modular course that took place in Fall 2024 near Fresno, CA
At the July meeting, Carl Haken will regale you with stories from the December 2024 central Mexico survey expedition led by Peter Sprouse to the area near Tamasopo
